SecureCare Corp. is an Independent Physicians Association (IPA), started and managed by experienced healthcare executives and doctors of chiropractic in the Nebraska Chiropractic Physicians Association. In June of 2012, SecureCare received the nationally recognized URAC accreditation in Provider Credentialing that allows for delegated contract negotiation for providers. Unlike Colorado's predatory chiropractic networks, we work with major healthcare insurance companies on behalf of a network of doctors of chiropractic.
For more than 20 years, SecureCare has accumulated representation of more than 1,500 chiropractic offices, representing insurance billings exceeding $450 million annually.
1. Join CCS at www.cochiro.org as a quarterly member. Note, your Securecare credentialing will be cancelled if you cancel your CCS membership. No more coat tail riding in the CCS. The Securecare model is such that we all pay less in association membership because 2% of the 4% charged to Securecare providers from fee for service allowed amounts goes back to pay for association lobbying, infrastructure, public relations etc all to increase chiropractic utilization in the state of Colorado.
2. Click here for the step-by-step process of becoming a Securecare IPA member to payment for care. You may also credential here at Join Securecare IPA. Once credentialed, providers pay $83/month for 24 months as a one time capitalization fee. No ongoing credentialing fees other than 4% network fee on fee for service contracted amounts paid monthly. Understand many providers are currently paying upwards of 33-50% of allowed amount to current intermediaries which equates to almost $700/month to the intermediary in hidden costs. Carriers are paying these other intermediaries the same amount as Securecare charges but instead 4% charge goes to intermediary Securecare then it passes 96% of benefit directly to patient/provider. No 120 day payment cycle, no preauthorization required, and utilization review allows for 2 standard deviations from network averages. Payments go directly to provider then Securecare bills provider 4% network fee monthly for allowed amounts paid. Providers, using Securecare's revolutionary messenger model, can select or decline any contract and all contracts allow termination without cause. Auto contracts will not be sought in Colorado and the Securecare Board of Colorado, made up of rank and file CCS members gives direct guidance to contract specifics and verbiage. No more contracts of cohesion that are not in patient's best interests.
Primary contracts being sought in priority order are 1) Aetna 2) BCBS 3) Rocky Mountain Health Plan 4) Kaiser. Cigna is likely being bought out by BCBS and their network director has confirmed they will use BCBS's intermediary for chirpractic network management.
3. Click here to enroll/change your EDI claims clearinghouse to Infinedi (necessary so that utilization data get compiled in one location for insurers to see exactly how effective Securecare providers are compared to other networks). Do not enroll for Infinedi through their main website. This portal linked to here is the Colorado Chiro Society specific portal that puts your utilization data into the Colorado Securecare pool of data and gives you proper discounts and fees as a CCS member. You do not need to change your EDI claims clearinghouse to Infinedi until you are credentialed and begin billing claims through Securecare's first contracts in Colorado. This is the final step and not necessary to do this until you are sending claims in for Securecare patients.
